Thank you so much for your interest in visiting the NYC iSchool!
As of October 16th all of our open houses are completely full and we do not have a wait list (we over-enroll all of our open houses knowing that some families will not show). Please note that entry to our open houses will not be allowed for those students or families who have not registered AND received a confirmation email.
All of our November open houses filled up within minutes of us posting the registration link. As a small school with an auditorium that has only 200 seats (enough for 100 prospective students and one parent/guardian) we are, unfortunately, not able to accommodate the large number of prospective families who want to visit the school. Attending an open house has no impact on our admissions and we encourage those families who would like to learn more about our program to look through our website, watch our video, and read over some FAQs.
Please note that, starting with the Class of 2023, the iSchool will be a part of New York City's Diversity in Admissions pilot program. This means that we will give admissions priority to applicants who are eligible for free/reduced lunch (based on family income) for up to 60% of our seats. For the 2017-2018 school year, 39% of iSchool students demonstrated economic need, compared with a city average of 72%. As a public school we have always believed that the iSchool’s student body should mirror that of New York City and we’re thrilled to participate in New York City's Diversity in Admissions pilot program.
Please also note that, due to space constraints, each prospective student may only come with ONE accompanying adult.
Should you have any questions about our program, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
